We believe in upholding the highest ethical standards in line with the Tata Group’s philosophy. Our business conduct is guided by the tenets of the Tata Code of Conduct (TCoC), and our employees and associates are expected to be aligned to the Code in letter and spirit so as to preserve our legacy, protect the group reputation and continuously earn the TRUST of our stakeholders.

Keeping in mind our company’s globally dispersed organisation structure, we have reinforced our Ethics management structure to facilitate effective cascading of the Ethics process, guide stakeholders in upholding the Tata Code of Conduct and reinforce Tata values.

We have an Ethics Council comprising a Chief Ethics Counsellor, Locational Ethics Counsellors in our key geographies as well as Lady Ethics Counsellors at various locations who address the requirements of women employees globally. Ethics Council members can be freely accessed by anyone who wishes to raise a concern. To facilitate the process, concern boxes are placed at various locations.

  • A session on the Awareness of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was conducted on April 14, 2021. The session was facilitated by Ms Anupama Easwaran, an ICF and Erickson International-certified Executive Coach specialising in diversity and inclusion for over 100 participants.
  • An interactive session on POSH awareness was conducted by Prof Nasreen Rustomfram from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), for Mumbai colleagues in December 2019.
  • A sensitisation session on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) was conducted for Tata International graduate engineering trainees, students on summer internships, new joinees, HR and Admin staff in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh in June 2019.
  • POSH Awareness Week was celebrated across all Tata International locations during March 8-15, 2019. Employees across locations took the pledge to stand against sexual harassment through an email campaign.
  • To prevent sexual harassment at workplace, several Tata International offices observed the POSH Awareness Week. Team Dewas held a session for the employees of Finished Leather Business on March 11, 2019 and a street play was organised on March 15, 2019. Chennai’s Bachi Shoes employees attended the awareness session on March 27, 2019.
  • Orientation session for POSH committee members at Tata International was conducted on October 10, 2018 in Chennai; to highlight the key imperatives and expectations from the members, procedural norms and guidelines for deploying the POSH policy. The training was conducted by Ms Sunita Thawani, Founder CEO, Full Circle.
  • All the employees of Footwear and Finished Leather Business (Dewas) were sensitised on the POSH Act 2013, the complaint mechanism, ICC Process and Action on Decision.
  • As part of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Awareness Week, workshops were conducted by Prof Rustomfram at Chennai (TN) for 60 employees.
  • POSH Awareness Week sessions were conducted in Dewas and attended by over 50 female employees, who shared their suggestions and queries.
  • Tata International’s bicycle brand – Stryder – organised an Ethics Meet on December 7, 2015, at Ludhiana (Punjab, India) promoting adherence to the revised TCoC by all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tata International celebrated Ethics Week to raise awareness on the importance of Tata’s culture and values among employees. Activities were also conducted across geographies to promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • A two-day Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) workshop was organised at Tata International’s (TIL) Dewas facility (Madhya Pradesh), under the aegis of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
  • Managers and workers from different levels actively participated with immense interest and commitment in the train the trainer session to help the process to be firmly entrenched.
